Great Wall has announced plans to reveal a production version of its new Haval H6 at the Guangzhou auto show in late December.
The contemporary styled mid-sized SUV was originally unveiled in lightly veiled concept guise at the Beijing auto show alongside a bevy of other new Great Wall models back in April.
Codenamed CHB021, the H6 isin line to receive the same 2.4 litre four-cylinder Mitsubishi supplied engine as the existing H5. Codenamed 4G64, it develops 128bhp and 195Nm at 2500rpm.
The new Chinese market SUV will also be among the first Havel models to run a new 3.0-litre V6 diesel developed by Great Wall. Successor to the 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel used by the H5 and known internally as the GW6VD30, the new in-house oilburner is claimed to kick out 165bhp and 480Nm at 1600rpm.
